"Mercury" - 18-gun military brig of the Russian fleet.
It was laid in Sevastopol on February 9, 1819 and launched on May 19, 1820.
In May 1829, during the Russian-Turkish war (1828-1829), a brig under the command of lieutenant-captain Alexander Ivanovich Kazarsky won an unequal battle with two Turkish ships-of-the-line, which immortalized his name
St. George flag.
