Description
“AUTUMN **COMPLEMENTARY** PLAID”( A Perfect Rare Find, Autumn Mill-Dyed Wool for all your FALL Projects)
A perfect "complementary plaid" for my unique hand-dyed Autumn-Inspired
COLORS that are bountiful here in our New England Landscape!
I dyed colors to match specific Trees, Foliage & Berries as they
come to life and are A'blaze each fall season.
This plaid would 'stand up on its own' as a Glorious Autumn Border or Background...
Or, great used to "dot a colorful Autumn Landscape" in a hooked rug!
I’ve worked long & hard to bring you this “unique collection” of
AUTUMN-
INSPIRED COLORS that are bountiful here in our New England landscape! I dyed colors to match specific Trees, Foliage & Berries as they come to life and are A’blaze each fall season.
The work involved in dyeing these
{
spot-dyed
collections}
is a multi-step process that is significantly labor intensive & takes many hours at a stretch PER different color way to achieve the lovely effects that are unique to each piece. These are (not) my typical "mill-dyed" collections that I create whereby each wool texture has originated from the manufacturer's dye process;
instead...these are uniquely HAND-DYED (one of a kind) pieces that are (reversible)
~ one side is softer and slightly more muted while the other side is bolder in saturation and color.
NOTE:
no two pieces are identical,
each is unique
therefore I cannot guarantee you’ll get a piece that has
more or less
of one specific dye color within that piece you select…but I can say they are ALL just beautiful!
I have yardage of EACH color way I dyed for my 10-piece Collection also available in Fat 1/8 yard pieces (only).
Each piece measures approximately 13" wide x 16” long (some pieces may vary slightly) and totals one Fat 1/8 yard
after shrinkage & felting
.
The cost PER Fat 1/8 yd. (Mill-Dyed) wool is .25 + .25 s/h
in the US
; add a .25 s/h (for each add’l Fat 1/8 piece).
For Canada purchases:
a Fat 1/8 yd. is .25 + .25 s/h
USD
; add a .25
USD
(for each add’l Fat 1/8 piece).
If you are new to rug hooking and have no other resources available, I’d be happy to cut your wool into strips on your FIRST ORDER, a
maximum
of (4 bundles or 1 yard equivalent). However, I would be most appreciative if you would seek out your local resources for cutting (i.e. ~ friend, neighbor, guild or shop) and
use me as your last resort
so I may have the time to dye more wonderful shades of wool for your future projects!
I can cut your wool into #6 (6/32”), #8 (1/4”), or #9 (3/8”) cut strips. Please notify me
at the time of payment
if you’ll need your wool cut & which size you would like & allow
an additional day or two
for my extra work.
Do N
ote
:
once your wool has been pre-cut into wool strips & shipped to you, it is
no longer eligible for exchange or refund
!
Also,
future orders
will need to be charged
{.50 per Fat 1/4 yard bundle or yardage equivalent}
to offset my time, as well as maintenance & repair costs for my cutter.
I do my best to post photographs that realistically represent the colors in my hand-dyed wools & velveteen fabric.
Please understand that computer monitors vary and the color representation {you personally see} may differ slightly from the original as everyone sees color differently.
If you have difficulty seeing a particular color, BE SURE to adjust your computer screen/monitor for “brightness” which can improve you seeing the colors & the subtle over & undertones of each color & variations.
In most cases, the colors in your wool/velveteen will be much more pleasing in person than what you see in the photo. I guarantee 100% satisfaction.
Some, but not all of the “photo samples of rugs” I
may
display here are projects hooked by me & they are shown merely to demonstrate how my wool can be used in a rug project.
I
do not
copy, re-design, trace, sell or profit from any of these rugs or patterns (that are not mine) in anyway!!
My Wool comes from a smoke free home!
