    Description

A truly unique piece of vintage Mexican folk art is up for sale.
The box is opened by flipping the latch on the upper portion of the decorative skeleton's hat. The doors open to reveal a funeral scene.
This handmade piece of folk art is meant to depict a "resurrection" of sorts. A metal crank on the right side of the piece is used to pull the strings attached to the articulated skeletons. When in motion, the skeletons' limbs raise and lower in joy as the person in the coffin raises their hands.
Made of wood, nails, tissue paper, and paint, this piece is delicate, but in good, working condition. The left door has a hard time staying open on its own. The piece is also dusty, but I'll leave any cleaning up to the new owner.
The box is 13" long and 10" wide.
