The
Microm HM 505 E Cryostat
is a very nice, electronic microtome cryostat. This model  is an upright standing unit with an open-top working area, providing good ergonomics and convenience for the operator chooses a standing or sitting position.
Designed with a cooling system, the
Microm HM 505 E cryostat
can cut the temperature range down to -35°C of the microtome and knife carrier work area. This also allows the instrument to cool the freezing stations for freezing-on specimens onto the specimen stages. The
HM 505 E
is equipped with an automatic 24-h-defroster with interrupt key as well as a hand wheel brake.
The rustproof
HM 505 E
provides protection for the knife and specimen as it retracts the specimen at the end of the cut. The motorized coarse feed system also allows the sample to be moved forward and backward, and with the automatic approach feature, fast and exact adjustment between specimen and knife-edge is guaranteed.
There is no knife included in this sale.
The device should be shipped packed on a pallet.  Its dimentions will be : 4ft x 4ft. x 46inches tall.  Shipping weight will be 385lbs.

The instrument turns on and power tests fine.  The Cryostat cools, temperatures were not verified.

The instrument was being used at a hospital laboratory, turned off and given the labs standard cleanup shut down. It has been in storage for some months.  It will require deeper cleaning and a biomed re-operating  start-up at its new home.  If you have questions, communicate them.

We recommend shipping LARGE ITEMS ( Over 130 Lbs. ) to a commercial location. with unloading capabilities to get the best possible rate. If this item must be shipped to a residential address, it can be done so, however, the freight company charges more for this do to the fact a lift gate truck is required.

Shipping Instructions:
Due to the fragile nature of scientific and laboratory items. We suggest you use a professional packing service to insure the highest quality packing available.
Do not try to negotiate a shipping rate after the end of the Sale as emails requesting a change after the end of the Sale will NOT be answered.
Shipping of items over 130 Lbs:
We will determine which items should be shipped freight.  If you find your own freight shipper, you will find you will probably get a better price than we will quote
LOCAL PICKUP: If your item is for local pick up please have your item picked up within 9 days of sale closing or your item will be relisted.  If more time is needed please contact us to make special arrangements. We do not charge for local pick up.
If you do use your own shipper and require us to package your item, a handling charge will be assessed, and paid on your item prior to pick up from your carrier.

Pallet Charge:
If you require your item palletized and you are providing your own shipping a  .00 Per Pallet charge will apply.
