Description
We are owners of multiple rather large 300 to 500 unit & larger storage rental unit facilities in several states.Unfortunately on occasion people don't pay their rent and abandon their processions.
By law we have to make a
concerted
effort to find them & we do try but after several months we simply hall away the contents to the dump, give it to Salvation Army, or if something appears to have value, we list it on eBay.
We are in the storage facility rental business wanting to get the unit back up for rent and not antique dealers so our knowledge isn't all that much.
We describe what we see but please don't ask us for more like age, how it was made or of what made from, country of origin, or if good to eat.
All our sales on eBay go to our favorite charity that helps battered and abused women after
eBay takes their 20% + commission & fees.
We keep none of it.
And no, we don't have live sight unseen auctions like on TV.
If you buy into that we have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn or a time share apartment on the Afghanistan/Pakistan border.
Lovely apartment above a great deli with topless waitresses.
Great shrimp cocktails & fantastic pulled pork sandwiches for free during Happy Hour which runs all day.
We found this manual & a few others from other manufactures in an unpaid and abandoned storage locker among boxes of antique slot machine parts.
This catalog appears to show all or most of the parts from a
Mills
mechanical antique slot machine with factory numbers attached to each part from back in the 1920s on up into the 1950s.
Each part is numbered & identified so indispensable for collectors to be able to communicate with each other or slot machine dealers when looking for a part.
A little research has informed us that Mills issued multiple printings of this when they needed them and one was shipped with every machine they sold and shipped so we don't know the exact age of printing.
We suspect they have some age but we are not selling it as a collectable or an antique, just a very useable and useful tool.
A few of the photos aren't the best quality but that is probably because it is on a lower grade pulp type paper which Mills evidently used and it sucks ink like a blotter.
Condition is pretty nice with no tears although there is some light soiling here and there probably from a mechanic who referenced or used it at times.
What you see is what you get and we are selling the way we found it.
We think this might be an indispensable tool for any collector or restorer of these old machines.
There are more photos and pages than shown here but eBay starts charging us extra past a dozen or so photo.
Evidently eBay doesn't make enough money
charging sellers 20% and more for commissions
but this should give you an idea of what is there and we can send additional if you need.
Our maintenance crew who are green card workers from Mexico & speak little to no English have completed or put back together a few of the machines we found in this hoard and if they had not had the manual, we seriously doubt they would have had any success.
We have sold a number of these manuals and many buyers have written to us to tell us what a great tool it has been for them.
If you are
outside the U.S.A
and eBay quotes you a
ridiculous
cost for shipping as they often do, pay absolutely no attention to it. We can send insured for pennies compared to what eBay will try to gouge you for. We quote the shipping, not eBay who makes a percentage of the total so the higher they can make the cost, the more they make for themselves. We take extreme issue to that and their ethics.
