Description
Not to be mean or rude but please read the disclaimer & descriptions belowWe are owners of multiple rather large 300 to 500 unit & larger storage rental unit facilities in several states. Unfortunately on occasion people don't pay their rent and abandon their processions. By law we have to make a concerted effort to find them & we do try but after several months we simply hall away the contents to the dump, give it to Salvation Army, or if something appears to have value, we list it on eBay.
We are in the storage facility rental business wanting to get the unit back up for rent and not antique dealers so our knowledge isn't all that much. We describe what we see but please don't ask us for more like age, how it was made or of what made from, country of origin, or if good to eat. All our sales on eBay go to our favorite charity that helps battered and abused women after
eBay takes their 20% + commission & fees.
We keep none of it. And no, we don't have live sight unseen auctions like on TV. If you buy into that we have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn or a time share apartment on the Afghanistan/Pakistan border. Lovely apartment above a great deli with topless waitresses. Great shrimp cocktails & fantastic pulled pork sandwiches for free during Happy Hour which runs all day. Best cowboy American
restaurant
in all of the middle east.
We opened a storage locker that the rent was not paid on for a long time and located some interesting items in the world of antiqu slot machines & parts. We found an instruction printout with these telling us the one on the left is (second photo) for opening & straightening reel tins on a slot machine. The other on the right as you face the screen is for closing and tightening down the reel strips. This auction is for the pointed tip tool on the
right for closing
up the reel tins. The other tool will be listed on another auction. We tried these on an old mechanism we found in this storage locker and these tools work great. The quality is fantastic and we are guessing these were made in the United States or Germany and not junk from Asia. The majority have black handles which is what we are listing. If you work on old slot machines these tools would be a wonderful time saving item to own and would make your finished product superior.
As "Tim the Tool Many Taylor" would say "a good tool is indispensable to any who handles it". LOL.
Again, this listing is for one tool as described. The second photo is to show the comparison or the difference between the two tools. With over 300 sales of these reel tin tools we found 3 large boxes of, on two rare occasions we had a mentally challenged brain surgeon complain when he didn't get one of each kind for the price of one because he learned to read off a cereal box or a comic book and just looked at pictures. Teddy Roosevelt said it best. "Sometimes the universe puts you in the same situation again to make sure you know some people on this Earth are really that dumb."
If you are
outside the U.S.A
and eBay quotes you a
ridiculous
cost for shipping as they often do, pay absolutely no attention to it. We can send insured for pennies compared to what eBay will try to gouge you for. We quote the shipping, not eBay who makes a percentage of the total so the higher they can make the cost, the more they make for themselves. We take extreme issue to that and their ethics.
