FOR BEST RESULTS: Always use
SHIELDEX
when doing
water changes and when
BP
is introduced into the system.
This will give the bacteria a media to cling on and aid in their
growth and acclimation. Increasing the temperature by 5 de-
grees for a few days will accelerate the bacteria growth. These
bacteria are extremely sensitive to: chlorine chlora-mine, chemi
cals and antibiotics. When setting up a new sys-tem or making
water changes, it is best to treat the system first. Then filter
well using
CARBON-IT
in the filter for 12 hours before introducing
BP
. You can use chemicals before but never while adding the
bacteria to the system. To be safe wait 48 hours after the last
BP
treatment before using chemicals in the system. To remove
chlorine  and chloramine use
AMOCHLOR

has cycled.
PRECAUTIONS: Store product in a cool dark and dry place
(45 - 80 degrees) with the cap tightly closed. Avoid freezing.
